Or even wander my way.

And when I go to sleep tonight,
I'll see you there try as I might.
To keep your face out of my sight,

Oh, and it's not right.

And suddenly then you appear in darkened bars and broken mirrors.
I turn around only to find that I have gone out of my mind.

Persistence of memory,
Is filling me with misery.
My heart won't let my head forget,
The words you wrote and the way you left.

It won't give me the time of day.
It won't teach me to learn my ways,
Or keep my broken heart at bay.
