lyrics

Morning light, wakes the trees.
Except for one, all alone.
In weathered bark, I start to see.
Everything, I've never known.

One half is dark, the other light.
I'm drawn in close, he watches me.
He's balanced as, the day and night.
In careful words, he softly speaks.

He says that he remembers me,
I've walked these woods before.
So long ago, I can't recall,
A thousand years or more.

He whispers I'm, the same as then,
Lost in life, questioning.
His roots have seen, so many springs,
I've much to learn, So much to see.

He tells me that I need to trust,
I need to close my eyes.
And then when I reopen them,
The truth will come to light.

And I can see so clearly now,
The truth that I'd forgot.
In search of connectivity,
A deep connection lost.

No we don't live upon the Earth,
Or walk amongst the trees.
We are the land, the air, and sea,
We're one with everything.
